| My life so far has been really
blessed, beautiful. Love and passion color my experience, while dedication
to work keeps me learning and growing. In the last few years, I have been
returning to many of the interests of earlier years; meditation, yoga,
environmental activism, and studying esoteric philosophies.
I grew up in California, went to school at Humboldt State University, received a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, and had a delightful time dancing at street fairs, rock concerts, modern dance performances and sufi music groups. Relationships have provided the path of my adulthood: with lovers, husbands, a daughter, family, friends, teachers, Osho (Bhagwan Rajneesh), the commune (Poona, Zurich, Berkeley, Oregon), then Ra and Human Design. When I first encountered Design (in 1993), it was immediately compelling, fascinating, alluring and consuming. When Chaitanyo and I were offered the role to be the promoters for Human Design in America, we agreed it had tremendous potential for our particular set of skills and interests, and so began our relationship with a newly forming audience for this particular new age self-help, personal growth type of work. We had been publishing a magazine at the time, called Taos Time, and even now, it brings a sense of tremendous pride and accomplishment to look at that year’s work Chaitanyo and I did before shifting our full attention to Human Design. It was our second year in Taos, and I was fortunately given a half year consultant/trainer for a wool project using local Northern New Mexico wool in traditional bedding. It was funded by the Department of Agriculture, and so we were able to adjust our lifestyle and take on the task of bringing Human Design to American audiences. Through annual and then bi-annual class schedules, we eventually created a full library of Ra’s interpretation of Human Design. After six years, our time was up. After a few years of diligently de-conditioning my brain from the rote phrases and names, the specific flaws and difficulties with the original interpretations were apparent. My particular mental gifts make me really well-suited to uncovering all the layers of Ra’s structure. Additionally, because I had the privilege of so much one-on-one time with Ra, I had a very good sense of how he would integrate new material, versus what was clearly the original information. By removing all the layers on top of the original information, I have uncovered the very simple and elegant use of Design without any of the dogma. It is a tremendous joy to study each of the four elements that comprise its synthesis (Kabbalah, chakras, I Ching, astrology). The four elements provide the basis of how I use Human Design on the path of awakening and consciousness. The imprint we see in a Human Design chart is simply body-mind. The consciousness that guides the vehicle is the witness to awaken.Design is a tool on the path of self awareness. My own particular slant in life is that each of us needs to respect the rights of others as well as making sure our rights are equally respected. When I first introduce someone to Design, I want that person to identify with what I’m suggesting as to how they might affect the world. It’s not just how the world affects us where the disturbance in relating lies. It’s also in how responsible each of us is with our effect on others. It is really wonderful for me to have come full circle back to a path of meditation and philosophy. To share Design as a specific set of meditations and experiments one might make to live more fully alive and creative gives me great satisfaction that this is good work for the planetary evolution. It’s all a yoga (Union). Namaste |
